Having tried several French classes in the past and failed - I am delighted to have found Helen Shaw's superb classes. Helen has not only a lovely manner, but a very effective way of teaching, skilfully getting her pupils to take an active part in her classes with very positive results. Pupils are never made to feel embarassed or humiliated just carefully encouraged.
It is not only good to feel personally more confident with the French language, but it is also pleasing to see fellow students flourishing.

The course content was very relevant to my trip to France. The teacher had a huge range of resources such as train tickets and timetables and she made learning a lot of fun. We covered all the vocabulary that I would need and using role play we practised different scenarios that might be useful. The teacher kept a record of what had been covered in the lesson and took note of any wishes that I had so that she could prepare to cover that in the next lesson. All lessons were meticulously prepared with a wide range of activities and the pace was to suit me.
My lessons were for myself and my daughter only in our own home. We had a lot of fun and the teacher put us at our ease. We looked forward to our lessons each week.
