Ruth and Helen were at Caythorpe village Primary School for our Spanish family learning day. The event ran from 10am to 1pm and was attended by 3 families with ages from 3 to 40.
First of all, we did introductions and learnt some basic Spanish greetings and numbers. We had a break after an hour to sample traditional Spanish food, which went down extremely well! We all sampled chorizo, Manchego cheese, olives, Olive oil biscuits and tortilla chips with dips. It was lovely to see the food enjoyed so much by all ages.
Ruth read a story to the group ‘Los Amigos de la granja’ .
and then we had another food and drink break! Followed by some activities on food and drink so that we could read ‘La Oruga muy hambrienta’ (The very hungry caterpillar).
The learners (particularly the little ones!) did extremely well and we spent a hugely enjoyable morning.
