International Day
We supported a local school on the 5th March for their International Day. Students at Sir William Robertson High School in Welbourn had a taster of both Arabic and Portuguese with tutors Carl Richmond and Samantha Foster. A great time was had by all and the school has said that the students enjoyed their day immensely and took a lot from it. This is just one way in which we can support schools.
Lincolnshire Day
The 1st October is Lincolnshire Day, and the first Lincolnshire Business Convention took place at the Epic Centre. A delicious lunch of Lincolnshire produce was enjoyed and some very informative speakers were present. I'm looking forward to next year's already!
Business for Breakfast
HS Language Services Ltd supports Lincolnshire Businesses for Breakfast and spent a lovely morning at St Peter at Gowts school in Lincoln at their breakfast club.
Liaison Magazine feature
Helen explains how the skills she developed as a languages student inspired her to set up her own company. Read the article in the July 09 edition of Liaison Magazine, pages 24 and 25.
Young Enterprise
HS Language Services has been involved with Young Enterprise as a
volunteer for a year now. Helen has been going into local schools to
help to deliver the 'Our World' programme to year 6 children, teaching them a little about business and enterprise.
Lincolnshire Show
We really enjoyed the Lincolnshire show and a big thanks to those who stopped to say hello. The weather was fantastic and we spoke to a lot of people about languages.
September courses
The September classes will be posted up over the next week and booking forms available from the 27th August.
